Four step process for preparing a glossary for bulk upload to the WHG. 1) Take the original glossary, which can come in a variety of formats. 2) Map the terms and definitions to the columns of a macro-enabled Excel. 3) If the glossary has chemicals, one needs to identify which words are chemicals, and assign their InChI. Shown is how chemical InChI API services (ChemSpider and NIH) are utilized to automate the process. 4) The final step is to export an XML file that can be bulk uploaded to the WHG.
