Changes in journal editorship starting 2022

7 December 2021

Egon Willighagen will step down from his role as co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Cheminformatics at the end of 2021. Barbara Zdrazil, currently Associate Editor, will take over the role from him starting in January 2022. Barbara is a group leader at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Vienna, Austria, and works as a safety data scientist for the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI), UK. She has been Associate Editor since 2020.

We congratulate Barbara on her new role as co-Editor-in-Chief and look forward to the continued work with her!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Egon for his hard work and enthusiasm on the journal during his tenure as co-Editor-in-Chief. Many exciting initiatives have been instigated during this time, and we hope he will continue to stay engaged with the journal.

Rajarshi Guha will continue in his role as co-Editor-in-Chief alongside Barbara, while Nina Jeliazkova will continue as Associate Editor. We intend to recruit a new Associate Editor to fill the vacancy created by Barbara's change of role. More details about this will be provided as soon as possible.
